Ian, Logan and Steve

Hopper hooked up with Ian, Logan and Steve. What first began as some snap shots riding around Azusa Canyon quickly turned into something more. We spent the afternoon taking in sights and wrappin’ about life. It was amazing to be standing atop the mountain overlooking Los Angeles. It might not sound like much, but when was the last time you got out there and did that?

It’s way too easy to fall into old habits and hangouts. Scootin’ around town between local burger spots and bars become the norm. There is something about riding; it’s the spiritual side that goes down in between those lines. The rights of passage that go down on a bike are lost with people who don’t ride.

Day 1 with Ian, Logan and Steve was spent riding up the 605 to Azuza. We caught it on an empty day, only seeing a few sport bikes tearing up corners. Miles of roads in the hills are best spent rambling around stopping for some views and cigarettes.

It’s not that easy to find a country road around these parts, but Azuza gets pretty close. The cops are out hiding in the corners so watch yourself, but if you catch it on a day like we did it’s the best.

Day 2 was a throw down around the local spots in Long Beach, CA. We made runs around the 710, the port area and wound up back at the pad to bbq and party down with the local crew. Seeing Logan morph into “the Wolf” was timeless.

Without a doubt seeing a small glimpse into the lives and getting to hang with these dudes leaves ya with a big smile and the will to ride with Ian, Logan and Steve. These guys ride because they love riding and it was awesome to be a part of that.
